CLES YOUTH ORGANIZERS INSTITUTE
Cohort 1 – Launched Fall 2023 with 23 youth organizers from across the country.
Our 8-week institute supports our youth to:
Gain a clear understanding of CLES’ history, vision, commitments, points of unity, guiding principles, and overall work.
Begin to integrate and organize around issues and needs in their own communities.
Develop a youth organizing model for the future and direction of the youth organizing network for CLES.
Learn about, and from, youth social movements and community organizing (both past and present) to inform a youth-led organizing campaign tied to CLES’ work.
Receive 1-on-1 mentorship from an Ethnic Studies mentor from around the country.
Organize a national culminating CLES youth organizing project.
